When the water temperature is around 15℃, snails start to move and eat. When the optimum temperature is 20~28℃, when the temperature is above 30℃, snails will shrink into their shells, gather in the shade or dive into the soil to escape the heat. When the water temperature exceeds 40℃, snails will die.
Snails have strong adaptability to drought and cold. When the water temperature is below 8℃, snails will dive into mud holes to hibernate. Next spring, when the water temperature rises to about 15℃, snails will enter the cave again to eat.
