Gastrodia elata from Xiaocaoba in Yiliang, Hanzhong in Shaanxi and Enshi in Hubei all contain 29 kinds of inorganic elements such as trace elements and macro elements, among which zinc, copper, iron, manganese, cobalt, nickel, molybdenum, chromium, strontium, vanadium, tin, silicon, germanium and selenium are 14, and potassium, sodium and selenium are 14. Especially among the inorganic elements of zinc, manganese and copper, the contents of zinc, manganese and copper in each gram of Gastrodia elata in Xiaocaoba are 28.96 μ g, 37. 17 μ g and 10.54 μ g respectively. The contents of zinc, manganese and copper per gram of gastrodia elata in Enshi, Hubei Province were 12.27 μ g, 22.6 μ g and 3.49 μ g, respectively. The contents of zinc, manganese and copper in each gram of Gastrodia elata in Hanzhong, Shaanxi are 24. 15 μ g,1μ g and 4. 13 μ g, respectively.
