1, Henan
I'm from Henan, so let's talk about Henan first! Henan, the New Year's Eve must be inseparable from jiaozi. No matter what food you eat, jiaozi must eat it! Besides jiaozi, there are carp, Four Joy Meetballs, Luoyang Swallow, buckle bowl, jelly, enema, roast chicken, braised dishes and all kinds of cold dishes!
2. Northeast China
Let's take a look at the Northeast people's New Year's Eve dinner. The four main dishes on the Northeast people's table are: chicken, fish, elbow and pig's trotters. These dishes are also necessary for the New Year's Eve dinner that people usually cook: stewed mushrooms with chicken, braised carp, steamed elbow, sauced pig's trotters, braised chicken feet, pot-stewed meat, minced pork, steamed prawns and home-cooked cold dishes.
3. Shandong
Speaking of Chinese New Year in Shandong, it is somewhat similar to Henan. For example, people in Shandong must eat jiaozi on New Year's Eve! But in addition to this, Shandong people can also cook other main dishes, such as: sauce-flavored pig's feet, sea cucumber with onion, nine-turn large intestine, sweet and sour fish, braised elbow, Shandong bacon, radish stewed crispy meat, and soup fried and crispy.
4. Shaanxi
During the Spring Festival in Shaanxi, the "Eight Bowls in Shaanxi" are very famous. These eight bowls include: small crispy meat, jujube square meat, braised chicken, steamed pork with rice flour, elbow, braised pork with plum vegetables, Four Joy Meetballs and eight-treasure rice. In addition to this, Guanzhong braised dishes, cucurbit chicken, bad meat, stewed three kinds, steamed pork, elbow and crisp ribs are also good dishes!
5. Sichuan
Speaking of Sichuan, there are so many dishes. Besides hot pot, such dishes as cold chicken nuggets, smoked bacon, spicy sausage, pickled fish, fried crispy meat, steamed pork with rice flour, jar meat and Dongpo elbow are all common dishes for New Year's Eve.
7. Guangdong
Guangdong's diet is also extensive and profound, and the food is super exquisite. It's the New Year, and dishes like boiled chicken, steamed fish, roasted goose and boiled shrimp must be cooked!
Of course, after talking about so many dishes, you have to have a matching wine. There are many kinds of wine in China, but as a northerner, I recommend Fenjiu, which is soft in mouth, sweet in mouth, fragrant after drinking, and has a long aftertaste. The frequency of it appearing on the dinner table in the north is very high. This year's New Year's Eve, we might as well use a sumptuous meal to match Fenjiu and have a beautiful Spring Festival!
