Precautions

Please don't make the pile too small. If it is too small, it will affect the fermentation. Heap with height between 1.5m to 2m, width between 2-3m and length over 3m will have better fermentation.

It is better not to use old rice bran. Fresh rice bran is far superior to old rice bran in terms of nutrition and aeration. During fermentation, pay attention to proper oxygen supply and accumulation (when the temperature rises to 75℃ or above, it should be turned over several times). The temperature is controlled at about 65℃, too high temperature will affect the nutrition.

The moisture of fermentation materials should be controlled at 60-65%. Too high or too low is not conducive to fermentation, too little water, slow fermentation; too much water will lead to poor ventilation, slow heating and odor.

Methods to adjust the moisture of materials: if the moisture is too high, you can add straw, sawdust, mushroom slag, dry soil powder and so on. The method of judging whether the moisture is suitable or not: grab a handful of material, see the watermarks in your fingers, but not dripping, falling to the ground and scattering; the whole fermentation process is completed in 5-7 days.
