Kanto refers to Liaoning, Jilin and Heilongjiang provinces in the northeast of China. Because the three northeastern provinces are located to the east of Shanhaiguan, they are called "eastward". The three great human migrations in China's modern history were the trip to the Kanto, the journey to the West and the trip to South Asia, among which the trip to the Kanto took the longest time and had the largest number of people. From the early Qing Dynasty to the founding of New China, a large number of poor people in North China were forced to make a living, and more than 30 million people set foot on the land of Kanto. This rare migration phenomenon in history is called "Crossing the Kanto", which is the largest migration activity in the history of China and even the world.
