Introduction
Zagana, Gannan gathers the essence of Diabe County and the whole Gannan. There are four villages and a temple here worth visiting. In July, rapeseed flowers will bloom and Zagana is famous for its rapeseed festival. Every year in June and July, you can see endless rapeseed flowers. Walking along the road of the four villages, just after turning a corner, you can still see green waterfalls of barley fields pouring down from the hills, with the majestic snow-capped mountains behind them.
The road to Zagana is all dirt. Though the road is recently under construction, it is still rough. Please prepare motion sickness medicine and some necessary supplies. In Tibetan social areas, eating horse meat, dog meat and fish is forbidden. In the temples, you should not make loud noises, touch the Buddha statues, or take photos or videos. You should also walk clockwise when turning the sutra. Some old people will have sheep draped in red silk around them while they are turning the scriptures. Do not tease the sheep. Zagana is in the highland mountains and the temperature is lower than other areas. If you go there in summer, you should bring thick fall clothes to avoid catching cold. If you want to climb mountains, remember to take medicine and pay attention to plateau reaction.

Spot recommendations
Lasang Monastery
Lasang Monastery is at the top of the mountain in Dongwa Village, and you can go up to it to overlook the whole valley. At the top of the mountain, you can also see the beautiful starry sky when the weather is good.
Shijingshan Mountain
Shijingshan Mountain is shrouded in mist and veiled all day long. Seeing this scene, it's easy to understand why Tibetans consider these mountains to be the embodiment of God.
Taste the exotic flavors of the plateau
In Zagana, you must try the local Tibetan food. Because it is in the deep mountain plateau, some Tibetan food in Zagana may not be available in Lhasa. In addition to the traditional poi and ghee tea, the fern pig in Zagana is also good.
