China Mobile App has been suppressed in the Indian market. Ding Technology noticed that India’s Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology announced on the 29th that 59 Chinese applications were banned. These apps include TikTok, the international version of Douyin, Qiezi Kuaichuan, UC Browser, WeChat, QQ, Kuaishou and Meitu, etc., including social networking, video, tools, live broadcast and other types of App products.
There is no doubt that this is a big blow to many Internet companies that are committed to overseas markets. However, such difficulties are basically unsolvable because it cannot be solved by the efforts of enterprises themselves. A similar dilemma also exists in the US market. In the context of the game between great powers, companies have become helpless and powerless pawns that can be eliminated at any time.
Now it’s App, will it be mobile phones and home appliances next? Ding Technology has noticed that according to data from IDC and other institutions, four of the top five brands in the Indian mobile phone market are Chinese companies, among which No. The first place is Xiaomi, the second place is vivo, the fourth and fifth place are OPPO and realme respectively.
In the home appliance market, Chinese brands are also very competitive. Ding Technology has noticed that the latest Q1 2020 Indian TV market statistical report released by counterpoint shows that Xiaomi TV ranks first with a market share of 27%, and TCL ranks first in this statistical report with a market share of 8%. fifth place.
After the app is banned, will India also take more extreme measures in the hardware field?
No one has long-term worries, but there are short-term worries. Next, Chinese companies need to make strategic adjustments. Should they focus on broader and friendly countries and regions in Asia, Africa and Latin America? (Original by Ding Technology, be sure to indicate "Source: Ding Technology Network" when reprinting)

At the same time, data security and protecting the privacy of 1.3 billion Indians have triggered strong concerns. Recently it has been noted that this concern also poses a threat to India's sovereignty and security. India's Ministry of Information Technology has received complaints from various sources, including several reports of misuse of some mobile apps on Android and iOS platforms to steal and covertly transfer user data to India in an unauthorized manner on an overseas server. The compilation of these data, the excavation and analysis of elements hostile to India's national security and defense, and ultimately their impact on India's sovereignty and integrity are a very profound and urgent issue that requires urgent measures.
The Cybercrime Coordination Center of the Indian Ministry of Home Affairs has also issued detailed recommendations to block these malicious applications. The Department also received numerous statements from citizens expressing concerns about data security and privacy risks in the operation of certain applications. In addition, the Computer Emergency Response Team (CERT-IN) also received many opinions from the public on data security and privacy infringement issues that affect public order. Likewise, various public representatives within and outside the Indian Parliament have expressed similar bipartisan concerns. In public settings, there have been strong calls for stringent action against apps that harm India's sovereignty and citizens' privacy.
Based on these and recent credible information received that these apps pose a threat to the sovereignty and integrity of India, the Government of India has decided to ban the use of certain apps on mobile and non-mobile Internet devices. These applications are listed in the attachment.
This move will protect the interests of Indian mobile and Internet users. This decision is a targeted step to ensure India’s cyber security and sovereignty.
