Imperata rhizome is a perennial herb of the genus Imperata in Gramineae, with an erect stem and a height of 80 cm, which is widely distributed in China and almost all over the country.
Its growth range is also very wide, which can grow in plain riverside grassland, farmland, orchard, nursery, field edge, roadside, barren slope grassland, forest edge, sparse forest, shrub, ditch edge, river bank, lawn, sandy meadow, desert and seashore.
Prevention and cure method
1, deep turn
Dig up the soil used to build the lawn and pick out the exposed rhizome of cogongrass. The depth of deep turning should not be less than 30 cm, and the edge flanging should be removed. Or winter ploughing, chopping the grass roots as short as possible, digging the soil deep and burying the roots deep underground. The deeper the soil is buried, the lower the survival rate of grass roots.
2. Dry the soil
After the soil is deeply ploughed, it is manually picked out and dried for a few days, so that the seeds of imperata grass buried in the soil, including those not picked out, can be dried in the sun.
