Loropetalum is an evergreen shrub or small tree of the genus Loropetalum in the family of Hamamelis, scientific name Loropetalum.chinense.var.rubrum, alias red fringe flower, red yoke and so on. Its branches and leaves, long flowering period, shoots light red, flowers and leaves delicate, beautiful posture, soft wood, very resistant to pruning, easy to coil plastic, suitable for family potted ornamental.
Flowers 3~8 clusters at the top of new branches. Sepals 4, ovate. Petals 4, bar-shaped, 2-4 cm long, light red or purple-red. Stamens 4, filaments very short, scale-like. Capsule ovoid, seeds long ovate, black, shiny. Flowering period twice a year, the first March to April, the second August to September, growing conditions suitable for flowering in all seasons.
