Sea toad, also known as sugarcane toad, is a terrestrial toad native to Central and South America. 1935, the Australians introduced the first batch of 20 sea toads and put them into the sugarcane garden in Queensland. By 1937, about 60000 sea toads had been introduced to Australia. Today, it is distributed in the southeast coastline of Australia and extends to the northern coastline of 6.5438+0.3 million square kilometers.
Their distribution in the country of origin is less than that in the introduction area. In South America, there are 20 sea toads per 100 in Mi Yue, which is far less than 50- 100 in Australia.
