Two kinds of fruits are hard to sell at low prices. Two kinds of fruits welcome spring again. You spend less money eating fruits. Are you happy?

With the arrival of August, many fruits have been put on the market, and their prices have gradually dropped. For example, the prices of nectarines, peaches, and watermelons have all declined, but some fruits such as lychees have risen again. high.

However, judging from the current market situation, yellow peels and bananas are difficult to sell at low prices, early-ripening apples have surged, and crown pears are welcoming spring again. What’s going on?

01. Chicken heart yellow skin is low-priced and difficult to sell

There are many kinds of fruits on the market in summer. Among them, chicken heart yellow skin is a niche and unique fruit. It is popular in Guangdong and Guangxi. There are plantings.

Because its peel is yellow, it is called yellow peel. Its ripening cycle is the same as that of lychee, and the fruit period is from May to August every year.

But compared to lychee, the peel is much less famous, mainly because its taste is not very good, with astringent sweetness, sweet sourness, and it can also be used medicinally. With a slight "medicinal smell", local people call it "Zhengqi Fruit".

Yellow skin Yellow skin is relatively thin, so the preservation properties are not very high. Basically, it will go bad if you don’t eat it the same day after picking. However, it is rich in nutrients. The peel and core are both edible and medicinal. It is helpful for colds, coughs, indigestion and other symptoms.

However, there are more varieties of yellow skin cultivated nowadays, and chicken heart yellow skin is deeply loved by everyone. It is sweeter, more productive, and rich in juice. It has been recognized by consumers for many years. The purchase price at the place of origin also reaches 3-5 yuan per pound.

However, the price of chicken heart yellow peel has obviously dropped a lot this year. A fruit farmer in Guangxi said that the local yellow peel fruit has dropped to 1.7 yuan, which is a larger drop than the previous price of more than 3 yuan.

The cost of growing chicken heart yellow skin is high, and it requires at least 3 yuan per pound to be profitable. Now that the price has dropped, fruit farmers have been busy.

In fact, the reason why the chicken heart yellow skin has declined is mainly because there was more rain in the south in the early period, which made the yellow skin fruit taste worse and tasted a bit sour.

However, due to excessive rainfall, the harvesting and transportation costs are relatively high. The yellow-skinned fruit itself is not resistant to storage, making traders risky and unwilling to go to the place of production to purchase.

There are not many merchants buying it, and many merchants are aggressively lowering prices, which makes the market for chicken hearts and yellow peels continue to decline.

Although the price is too low for fruit farmers to accept, the fruits will spoil if they are not sold, so many people have no choice but to sell.

02. Bananas fell to 5 cents

In the first half of this year, the banana market was crazy. The average price in the production areas was as high as 1.88 yuan/jin, a year-on-year increase of 51.61%. As much as half.

As for why, the main reason is that banana supply is in short supply, and banana production in Yunnan and Hainan has been reduced by 30-35% due to reduced planting area, weather and other reasons, thus supporting their price rise.

At the same time, the quantity of imported bananas is not large, and the customs clearance time takes 10-20 days, compared with only 3-5 days in previous years. As a result, many bananas rotted due to the long time, which once again aggravated the tension.

However, since July, bananas from Guangdong and Guangxi have also begun to mature and enter the market. Coupled with the supply of bananas from Hainan and Yunnan, the domestic banana market has sufficient supply.

One characteristic of bananas is that the hotter the weather, the worse the sales. After all, there are many types of fruits and high yields in summer. Bananas are not the main product, and their demand has significantly reduced, so prices have begun to fall.

In the first half of the year, the retail price of bananas was as high as 4-5 yuan per catty, but now it has dropped to 2-3 yuan per catty, and the market prices in the production areas have also dropped significantly. The price of bananas in a certain place in Guangxi has dropped. The price ranges from 4 to 6 cents, and banana farmers generally sell them for 5 cents.

Such a low price gives many banana farmers a headache, but as the bananas mature, everyone has no choice but to harvest and sell them, otherwise they will be worthless.

03. Early-maturing apples soared

In previous years, the price of early-maturing apples was only about 1-1.2 yuan, but now Gala, Qinyang, American No. 8, Fujiki No. 1, etc. They have entered the market one after another. Although early-ripening apples are concentrated on the market, prices have not languished at all.

The price of Rugala apples has risen to around 2.3 yuan per catty, with the highest reaching 2.5 yuan per catty, more than double that of last year.

The same is true for Qinyang fruits. The price in some producing areas has risen to 4.6 yuan per catty, a record high.

The same is true for other early-ripening apples, with prices about double that of last year.

Due to the driving effect of early-ripening apples, the price of Red Fuji in cold storage has also begun to rise.

In the past, the price of Red Fuji was low at this time, but currently the price of 80# first and second grade fruits in Qixia cold storage is 4-5 yuan per catty, 75# first and second grade fruits are 3.7-4 yuan per catty, and 80# Fruit farmers pay 2.4-2.8 yuan per catty in a paper bag.

The price of Apple has soared, exceeding many people’s expectations. It is expected that after the launch of Red Fuji, the price will inevitably rise.

04. Crown pear welcomes spring again

When Crown pear was first launched this year, the market price of Crown pear has experienced a surge, with the purchase price exceeding 2 yuan per pound, which has caused many The fruit growers were excited.

But everyone was not happy for long. The price of crown pear continued to fall, falling again to 1-1.5 yuan per catty.

Unexpectedly, at the end of July and August, Crown pear production areas rose again. The current purchase price in Hebei production areas is 2.1-2.5 yuan per catty, and it continues to rise.

As for the reason, the main reason is that there has been too much rain in the north recently, which has affected merchant purchases and insufficient inventory in all aspects.

Coupled with the poor weather this year, Crown pear production is low, which supports the rise in the market.
