1. Planting place
It's best to hang the air pineapple by the window. Of course, to ensure that the air pineapple will not be exposed to direct sunlight, appropriate scattered light or light is also possible. It is best to have 1 ~ 3 hours of scattered light every morning. Too much light will make the leaves yellow, the stems and leaves will wither easily, and the leaves will fade easily due to insufficient light.
keep warm
Air pineapple is a tropical plant, which likes warm environment all year round. The minimum curing temperature should be above 7℃, and the optimum growth temperature should be between 18~30℃, so as to avoid the temperature exceeding 33℃. In a hot and dry environment, it is necessary to spray water frequently to cool and humidify.
Supplementary light
It is also feasible to put the air pineapple indoors in a place where there is no sunshine, but attention should be paid to supplementing the light. Artificial lighting can supplement light for air pineapple and promote its growth.
The air pineapple should be placed about 20 cm away from the lamp, and the light should be about 12 hours every day. In this environment, air pineapples can grow well.
4. Air pineapple hydrating
Replenishing water to dry pineapples is very troublesome. Usually when the indoor air is dry, the air pineapple can't absorb water. It's time to spray water on them.
Air pineapples are directly hung in the air, or directly fixed on some shelves, so they should be sprayed with misty water and potted on leaves to let air pineapples absorb water in the air.
But every 10~20 days, air pineapples should be soaked in clean water at room temperature for half an hour, and then dried in a bright and ventilated place.
5. Prevent air pineapple from rotting
If the roots of air pineapples begin to rot, they must be removed in time, then soaked in carbendazim or potassium permanganate solution, and then placed in a ventilated and bright place to avoid freezing.
Always check the leaves or roots of air pineapples. If the roots turn brown or gray, it is sick.
6. Learn to apply fertilizer correctly
Air pineapples are very picky about fertilizers, and too much fertilizer is not enough. Usually in the growing period (18~28 degrees), liquid thin fertilizer is applied once a month, and it must be diluted with water before spraying.
Air pineapple should be fertilized with liquid fertilizer, and the concentration of liquid fertilizer should be reduced by half compared with normal fertilization, and it can only be sprayed on air pineapple after being diluted enough.
7. Keep the environment ventilated
The environment of air-curing pineapple must be well ventilated to avoid root rot. Of course, it is also beneficial for the leaves to absorb nutrients in the air and increase the humidity after spraying water, so that the surrounding environment will not be too humid.
If the air is too humid and the environment is not ventilated, the stems and leaves of air pineapple will grow brown spots and the crown will slowly rot.
