The Eight Attractions of Chaoshan are as follows:
The Eight Scenic Spots of Chaoshan used to be inside and outside, the inner eight scenic spots refer to the streets and lanes of the ancient city, while the outer eight scenic spots refer to the banks of Han River outside the city. Due to the continuous development of urban construction, the inner eight scenes have been gradually obliterated, and now people say that the eight scenes of Chaozhou refers to the outer eight scenes.
That is, "crocodile crossing the autumn wind", "West Lake fishing raft" (the original West Lake and the Han River), "Jinshan ancient pine" (once known as "Maqiu Songcui "), "North Pavilion Buddha's Light", "Han Temple Oak", "Xiangqiao Spring Rise", "Phoenix Rain", "Dragon Dragon River "Yongchu Pagoda" (originally located in the center of the river opposite to the Bukgak, the ruins of which still exist).
1. Xiangqiao Chunhao: Xiangzi Bridge, or Guangji Bridge, outside the east gate of Chaozhou City, lying on top of the rolling Han River, east of Penjieshan, west of the downtown area of Dongmen, south of Phoenix Chau, north of the Jincheng Mountain, a magnificent and fascinating scenery.
2. Han Zi Oak: across the Guangji Bridge, facing the winding undulating Penjia Mountain, the mountain rocky layers, pines and cypresses, shade, along the peak of the stone steps straight up the mountainside, the solemn and quiet Han Wengong Ancestral Hall will be towering in front of the eyes, this is the "Han Zi Oak" of the resort.
3. Jinshan ancient pine: Jinshan stands in the north of the city on the banks of the Han River, about forty meters high, like a kettle, for the old city of Chaozhou pillows, and the west of Huludao Mountain, the east of the formation of the Chiu City of the three barriers of the Penjiao Mountain.
4. Phoenix rain: Phoenix Terrace is located in the southern outskirts of Chaozhou City, the old Crow Island (later known as Shazhou Island or Phoenix Island) at the northern end of the Ming Longqing two years (1568), Chaozhou governor Hou Bideng initiated the construction.
Phoenix Terrace is the main building of the Phoenix Island Park, the platform because of the head of the continent, the history of repeated floods and waves of the doom, this reconstruction of the remaining remnants of the early years of the Republic of China was repaired, the platform is a four-poster, single-eaved hysterical roof of the cement structure of the pavilion, and the original appearance of the difference is very far.
5. Yongchu Pagoda: the original refers to the small sandbar on the Han River north of Chaozhou City, built in the Song Dynasty stone tower. Pagoda under the lush and luxuriant woods, there are elegant and quiet temple, and the scenery of the car around the reflection, constituting a wonderful and beautiful scenery. It was first named "Tawon Wi Boat" after the yacht that used to tie a cable here. It was also called "Yongchu Pagoda" because there is "Yongchu Spring" near the pagoda.
6. Crocodile ferry: In the middle of Han River North Embankment outside of Chaozhou, there is an ancient ferry called Crocodile Ferry. In ancient times, Chaozhou crocodiles were a nuisance, so the Han River was called Crocodile Creek (Wicked Creek).
According to legend, in the 14th year of Emperor Xianzong Yuanhe of the Tang Dynasty (819 years), the Minister of the Ministry of Criminal Affairs, Mr. Han Yu, stabbed the Chaozhou, because he heard that the crocodile was a nuisance, endangering the people's lives and property, so he set up an altar in the said crossing on April 24th of the same year, and "threw a pig and a goat into the pool of the Wicked Creek to wish for the best", and the Chaozhou people thus called the crossing Crocodile Dodo.
7. West Lake Fish Raft: West Lake Fish Raft is the most poetic and intoxicating scenery in the beautiful and spectacular West Lake, because the fish raft in the glistening air, the ever-changing lake and water color and its name.
8. North Pavilion Buddha's lamp: North Pavilion was originally a group of Jinshan east of the mountain under the general name of the pavilion. Here east of the Han River flowing down the Han River, climbed the North Pavilion, the North Causeway on the "crocodile crossing the autumn wind", across the river from the "Han Temple Oak", Han River downstream of the "Xiangqiao spring", "Phoenix when it rains". "Phoenix when the rain" a lot of scenic spots vivid in my mind.
Overlooking the Han River, the river is flowing, white sails. Legend has it that the pavilion in front of the Buddha's lamps, the night light, the river from the Han River upstream fifteen miles from the Deer Lake, downstream to the rapid water tower, land east from Rao Ping's Nanwudong, south to Chaozhou City, Furyang, can be seen lights, for the Hanjiang River night navigation signs.
