Dongguan Light Industry School is located 400 meters west of the intersection of Vocational School South Road and Xueyuan Road in Houjie Education Park. Dongguan Light Industry School is a public secondary vocational school directly under the Municipal Education Bureau, a national key secondary vocational school and a "Dongguan popular science education base".
The school covers an area of 180 mu, with a total construction area of 75,000 square meters and 2 10 full-time teachers. At present, it offers nine majors, including furniture design and production, hotel service and management, electrical technology application, Chinese food cooking, computer graphic design, financial accounting, arts and crafts, among which 1 provincial key construction specialty, and so on.
The school now offers five majors: furniture design and production, hotel and tourism management, international business, computer and application, and electrical technology application. Among them, furniture major is the key construction major in Guangdong Province, and hotel major is the backbone major in Dongguan.
Conditions for running Dongguan Light Industry School:
The school has a strong faculty, with staff 196, including professional teachers 172, graduate degree 16, 98 with middle and senior titles and 92 "double-qualified" teachers. The cooperation between schools and enterprises has been expanding and deepening, and furniture, hotels and other majors have established stable large-scale practice bases.
In order to further meet the needs of local economic and social development, expand the scale of running a school and improve its service capacity, the school was moved to houjie town Education Park in September 201,and was renamed as Dongguan Light Industry School in September 20 12. The new campus is close to Shuilianshan Forest Ecological Park, which is planned according to the requirements of national key secondary vocational schools, covering an area of 200 mu and a total construction area of 75,000 square meters.
The total investment in construction exceeds 200 million yuan, and the planned school scale is 70 teaching classes, with 3,500 students, and the annual foreign training is more than 1000. The new campus is surrounded by green hills, with magnificent buildings, beautiful scenery, green garden, outstanding ecological concept and modern atmosphere.
