A rat named Remy dreams of becoming a great French chef despite his family's wishes and the obvious problem of being a rat in a decidedly rodent-phobic profession. When fate places Remy in the sewers of Paris, he finds himself ideally situated beneath a restaurant made famous by his culinary hero, Auguste Gusteau. Despite the apparent dangers of being an unlikely - and certainly unwanted - visitor in the kitchen of a fine French restaurant, Remy's passion for cooking soon sets into motion a hilarious and exciting rat race that turns the culinary world of Paris into a new and exciting place. Remy's passion for cooking soon sets into motion a hilarious and exciting rat race that turns the culinary world of Paris upside down. In the world-famous culinary capital of Paris, a young mouse named Remy (voiced by Patton Oswalt) is determined to become a great chef. But his "sensible" relatives constantly remind him not to think about it, because mice are the least of the world's favorites in the fragrant kitchens! But when "cruel" fate brings him to the sewers of the city of Paris, little Rémy realizes that he is under the roof of a famous French restaurant owned by the famous chef Augustin Guste, whom he has long admired. Such a great opportunity gives little Rémy no end of courage, so he decides to stay, expecting to fulfill his desire to become a ratty celebrity chef here. But Rémy's grayish appearance naturally attracts people's disgust and even chases him around. However, optimistic little Rémy's passion for cooking soon turns everything into a wonderful and exciting rat race that turns the Parisian food scene upside down. Luckily, the lucky little mouse meets a young man who helps out in the back kitchen - Linguini (which translates directly to spaghetti). Despite his lack of culinary talent, he is desperately trying to keep his job. The two guys meet instantly, and a "Mice and Men Gourmet League" is formed. The mouse hides in the chef's hat and manipulates Linguini's arm to help him make one delicious meal after another. The two men's wish is finally realized, but the trouble continues. They have to avoid the nervous chef, they have to convince Remy's family to understand his quest, and, of course, there's the young, beautiful love of Linguini. In the end, they succeed in making the best smothered Provencal food in Paris (the title Ratatouille suggests this) and show the world that mice love the kitchen with a passion. ...... Ruger/writing
