Profile of Liaoning University of Engineering and Technology:
Founded in 1949, the university was identified by the State Council as one of the 88 national key universities in 1978.It was approved as the first batch of master's degree-granting units in 1981, and as a doctoral degree-granting unit and a unit conditional on accepting international students in 1993. In 1996, it was renamed and upgraded from Fuxin Mining College to Liaoning University of Engineering and Technology, and was approved to set up a postdoctoral research station in 1999.
In 2012, the People's Government of Liaoning Province and the former State Administration of Work Safety signed an agreement to build the university, and in 2013, it was approved as a key university in the national "Basic Capacity Building Project for Colleges and Universities in Central and Western China", and in 2019, it was selected as one of the 10 first-class universities in China to be built in Liaoning Province.
