The weather and personnel are urging each other, and the solstice of winter has ushered in spring. Because of the long days, female embroidery workers can embroider several colorful silk threads, and the torch vehicle has flown over Jiaguan. The river bank seems to be waiting for the last month to pass, so that the willows can stick out their branches and take out new buds, and the mountains can break through the cold so that the plum blossoms can bloom. Although I am in a foreign land, the scenery here is no different from my hometown, so let the children pour wine and have a drink.
Xiaozhi is a seven-character poem written by Du Fu, a poet in the Tang Dynasty. The first couplet of this poem is about time, and the word "urge" lays the gloomy tone of the whole poem; The activities of writing couplets and the changes of natural scenery make people feel a little happy that the weather is getting warmer and spring is coming. At the end of the couplet, the poet felt sad when he thought that he was in a foreign land, so he invited his son to drink with him to drown his sorrows. The selection of materials in the whole poem is typical, with "things", "scenery" and "feelings" as the contrast, and the emotions are born from the scenery, full of strong life interest, cutting but not general.
Literary appreciation
At the beginning of Xiaozhi, the phrase "weather and personnel are urging each other every day, and the winter solstice is spring again" points out that "the sun is spring again" in a chanting style, which is closely related to the title of the poem and gives people a sense of urgency. Time flies, winter goes and spring comes in a blink of an eye. The middle four sentences are clauses, which not only show the increase of daylight with embroidery thread, but also vividly show the scene that willows by the river are about to turn green in winter and spring and plum blossoms on the mountain are about to bloom.
Although spring is easy to cause homesickness, the poet's homesickness is optimistic. Therefore, the last sentence of the poem, "What is the cloud different from the country, the godson is covered in a hand cup", ends with lyricism and advises the world to drink all the wine in the cup and enjoy a better life. The whole poem is ambitious, with typical materials, carefully crafted and pasted, closely surrounding the seasonal changes around the winter solstice. From the beginning, the feeling of pressing time has gradually evolved into the joy of the coming New Year, with a natural transition and a strong interest in life.
