Composition Background
In 1995, when Xuecun set out to write something accessible, someone told Xuecun that it was nearly impossible to spend five minutes explaining a story clearly in a song. It was in response to that comment that Yukimura began his quest.
"All Northeastern People Are Living Thunderbolts," which Xuechun wrote after composing "Plum," was the second song he explored, telling the story of a traffic perpetrator, and it took him only 1 minute and 14 seconds to complete the narrative with a plainspoken narration? But because no one wanted to publish it at the time, the song was hidden for six years?
In early 2001, Yingda wanted to shoot a sitcom called "Northeast Family," and Ying's company made Xuechun's "Northeast People Are All Live Lei Feng" its title song, and asked that its last line, "Cuihua, on the pickles," be spoken by the show's actor Li Qi. The final version of the song not only added Li Qi's voice at the end, but also its harmonies from the mouths of 16 members of the whole family of "Northeast Family".
