Clinical application 1. for high fever, irritability, delirium, convulsion, epilepsy and convulsion.

Mental delirium, convulsions and convulsions are mostly caused by high fever or phlegm-heat blinding and clearing the orifices. Niuhuang can clear away heat in the heart, dispel phlegm and turbidity, and has the effect of inducing resuscitation and calming convulsion. Clinically, this product is often mixed with heat-clearing drugs and resuscitation-inducing drugs, such as Coptidis Rhizoma, Scutellariae Radix, Fructus Gardeniae, Musk, etc., and made into pill powder, which is applied to coma and pain caused by excessive heat.

2. Used for sore throat, putrefaction, various heat toxic sores and carbuncle.

Peony bark can clear the excess heat of blood, and at the same time it can treat yin deficiency and fever. Clearing blood to divide excess heat is often used equally with fresh rehmannia root and red peony root; For treating asthenic heat, it is often combined with herbs such as Radix Rehmanniae, Rhizoma Anemarrhenae, Artemisia annua and Carapax Trionycis. For blood-heat rash, it is often used with fresh grass rhizome, cacumen Platycladi and Fructus Gardeniae.

It is often combined with fresh rehmannia root, Ophiopogon japonicus, Coptidis Rhizoma, Forsythia suspensa, Lonicera japonica Thunb, and bamboo leaves to treat the above diseases.

2. Used for sore throat, red eyes, tuberculosis, etc.

If heat toxin is in blood, it can be used in combination with blood-cooling drugs; Fierce and vigorous, it can be used in conjunction with purging powder; For those with dampness, it can be combined with dampness-eliminating drugs. In addition, dysentery is acute and then heavy, so it should be matched with qi-promoting drugs; Those with sores and carbuncle deficiency should be matched with tonics and so on. However, those with spots, sores, laryngitis, dysentery and other diseases, which belong to yin syndrome and cold syndrome, should not use heat-clearing and antidote.
