This garden was built by Huang Zhijun, general manager of Lianghuai Salt Industry in the 23rd year of Jiaqing (A.D. 18 18). This garden is made of bamboo and stone, and even the word "Ge" in the name of the garden is half a bamboo word, which complements all kinds of bamboo in the garden. The owner's interests and thoughts are all in it.
Four seasons rockery has its own characteristics, novel conception and rigorous structure. It is a special case of gardens in China and one of the most famous gardens in Yangzhou.
The garden design of Geyuan is very exquisite. There are Yuxuan, Baoshan Building, Fuyun Pavilion, Zhu Qiu Pavilion, Touyuexuan and other buildings in the park, which complement the rockery pool. Ancient and famous trees are more simple and elegant.
Yangzhou Heyuan
Heyuan, formerly known as "Mountain Villa", is mainly characterized by giving full play to the function and charm of the gallery-style building. 1500m long promenade is a unique and wonderful landscape in China gardens.
Heyuan has a huge scale, covering an area of 1.4 million square meters, with a construction area of more than 7,000 square meters, accounting for more than 50%. Its high density embodies the characteristics of excessive garden architecture in the late Qing Dynasty.
Many costume dramas were shot here, including a dream of red mansions, where you can see the scenery of Heyuan.
Yangzhou Dongguan Street
Dongguan Street is the most representative historical old street in Yangzhou.
East to the ancient canal and west to Guoqing Road, with a total length of 1 122 meters. The original streets were paved with long slates. This street used to be the hub of land and water transportation in Yangzhou, and also the center of commerce, handicrafts and religious culture.
The street market is bustling, there are many businesses, trade is readily available, and business is booming. Chen Hang has nearly 100 shops, including Mi You Workshop, Fresh Fish Shop, Eight Immortals Shop, Fruit Shop and Bamboo Shop.
From west to east, there are two scenic spots on the streets of Dongguan, the Kelpolo Memorial Hall and the Dongguan Ancient Ferry. Dongguan Ancient Ferry is the ferry of the ancient canal, next to the ancient canal dug by Yang Di in the south of the Yangtze River.
Yangzhou Daming
Yangzhou section of the ancient canal is the oldest section of the whole canal. At present, most of Yangzhou's canals are in line with the ancient Yan 'gou route more than 2,000 years ago, but they are completely in line with the canals dug by Emperor Yang Di. The total length from Guazhou to Baoying is125km.
Among them, the Yangzhou section of the ancient canal is about 30 kilometers long from Guazhou to Wantou, which constitutes the famous "Three Bays in Yangzhou". This section of the canal is the oldest and has many cultural landscapes.
