At present, most electric vehicles use lead-acid batteries. Lead-acid batteries are widely used in two-wheeled electric vehicles and low-speed electric vehicles because of their low cost, rich raw materials and mature technology. The charge and discharge cycles of lead-acid batteries are about 350 times. In other words, the number of times of charging is 350, but it is impossible to use up all the electricity in actual use.
Because of mileage anxiety, people usually charge the battery when it is 20%-30%, which can be charged and discharged 500-600 times. Generally, the battery life of electric vehicles is 2-3 years. At present, lead-acid batteries are relatively cheap, and the prices are different according to different capacities.
Generally speaking, the cycle charging times of lead-acid batteries are about 300 times, which almost reaches the scrapping standard. More times, the charging capacity will be seriously insufficient, which will affect the cruising range. Maybe the new battery can run 60 kilometers, and the battery will be dead in less than 20 kilometers.
The correct method of battery charging for electric vehicles:
1, charging sequence.
When charging the battery of an electric vehicle, first insert the charger output plug into the battery charging socket, then insert the charger plug into the electric jack, and observe the indicator light for charging judgment (generally, red light means charging, green light means charging is basically sufficient, and the more discharge, the longer the charging time).
2. Charging time.
The number of charge and discharge cycles of the battery is certain, generally around 600-800 times. Charging once is equivalent to using up the opportunity of a charge-discharge cycle, and frequently charging the battery means that the service life of the battery will be greatly shortened. In the case of frequent use of electric vehicles, you should choose to charge the battery when the power is 20%-30%.
This can not only avoid the early capacity loss of the battery, but also avoid excessive discharge. If you drive very little and don't drive 60%-70% of the longest cruising range in a week, it is recommended to charge it once a week. If you go out or don't use it for a long time, it is recommended to replenish the power once a month and store the electric car in a cool and dry place.
3. Charging time.
The charging time should be controlled at about 8- 10 hour, not more than 8 hours in summer and 10 hour in winter. After the indicator light of the charger turns green, float for about 1-2 hours, and then stop charging. Remember that the charging time should not exceed 12 hour. Charging for a long time will seriously damage the battery and affect its performance.
