Pu'er tea belongs to the dark tea series. Pu'er tea is divided into two categories: Pu'er loose tea and Pu'er tight tea. Pu'er loose tea, the traditional categories are Maojian and coarse leaves, has now developed into six categories: Pu'er green tea, Pu'er green tea, Pu'er black tea, Pu'er black tea, Pu'er yellow tea, and Pu'er white tea.
Pu'er tea (scientific name: Camelliasinensisvar.assamica) is a large tree, up to 16 meters high, with slightly hairy twigs and white pubescence on the terminal buds. The leaves are thin and leathery, elliptical, the upper surface is brownish-green after drying, slightly shiny, the lower surface is light green, there are pubescence on the middle rib, and the rest is pubescent, and the old leaves become bald; 8-9 pairs of lateral veins are obvious on the upper surface. Flowers axillary, pubescent. Bracts 2, caducous. Sepals 5, nearly round, glabrous outside. Petals 6-7, obovate, hairless. Stamens 8-10 mm long, free, glabrous. Ovary 3-chambered, hairy; style 8 mm long, 3-lobed at apex. Capsule oblate triangular spherical. Seeds are 1 per cell, nearly round, 1 cm in diameter.
