BoJack Horseman (voiced by Will Arnett) is a middle-aged has-been star horse. When he was young, he starred in the TV series "The Little Pony" which became very popular. Now he is no longer a has-been that no one cares about. Star, living in a villa in LA with human loser Todd (voiced by Aaron Paul). In order to regain his strength, BoJack decided to publish an autobiography at the urging of his agent and ex-girlfriend Princess Caroline (voiced by Amy Sedaris), hoping to return to the public eye. But because Bojack was too delayed to write, the publisher introduced him to a gunslinger author Diane (voiced by Alison Brie). BoJack refused many times, and finally, at a party, he met Diane, only to find that she was the girlfriend of his nemesis Mr. Peanutbutter.
