When a young turtle crawls out of its shell, it can't be taken out at once. It should be allowed to crawl on the sand 1 ~ 3 hours. After the yolk sac of the young turtle is completely absorbed, it should be taken out and put into shallow water for temporary cultivation. Some turtles don't absorb the yolk sac, so these turtles should be extra careful to prevent the yolk sac from being infected by bacteria.
Second, the little turtle enters the pool.
The newly hatched baby turtle is very delicate, and its carapace and abdominal carapace are very soft. It is easy to scratch the abdominal carapace, limbs and claws when raised in a cement pool. Therefore, it should be placed in enamel pots and plastic pots with a water depth of 2 ~ 4 cm. Pour the water slowly to avoid choking the young turtle. This basin is covered with fine sand. Young turtles should be soaked in 5 mg/L potassium permanganate solution for 5 minutes and then put into the basin. After temporary cultivation 1 ~ 2 weeks, move to cement pool.
Third, feeding
The newly hatched young turtles generally do not prey, and the energy and nutrition needed for their early growth and development are completely provided by yolk. The researchers found that the yolk of young turtles consumed 40.56% in the first week and disappeared at 15 and 9 days. According to this result, we can observe the change of yolk size, infer the utilization of surplus yolk when young turtles are cultured, and then determine the feeding date and feeding amount.
After temporary feeding, the young turtles are more active and have strong feeding ability. Generally, cooked egg yolk, red worms, fly maggots and minced lean meat should be fed, and high-fat bait or bacon should not be fed, so as not to cause indigestion and other symptoms. In early spring, the soft-shelled turtle just woke up, with weak activity and stable body temperature, so it is not allowed to feed more. Feed/kloc-0 once every three days and 11~14. Young turtles should be fed twice a day in spring and summer, 8-9 am and 5-7 pm. The temperature changes greatly in the morning and evening in autumn, and the feeding at noon should be 10 ~ 1 1 once a day. The feeding amount should be 65438+ 0 hour after feeding. When the temperature is 20 ~ 33℃, turtles can eat normally, and the maximum intake is 25 ~ 28℃ ... When the temperature is 15 ~ 17℃, most turtles have stopped eating, and the activity is not large, and a few turtles only eat a small amount. With the gradual decrease of environmental temperature, young turtles enter hibernation.
Fourth, water quality management.
Young turtles eat too much and excrete too much, and the water quality is very easy to deteriorate. After each feeding, the residual bait should be removed in time. When changing water, the bottom of the pool should be thoroughly cleaned and disinfected. Due to the high temperature in summer, shade sheds should be built, the water level should be raised appropriately, and the feeding ponds should be heated. Pay special attention to the water temperature difference between new and old water when changing water, and generally do not exceed 2 ~ 3℃. Due to the shallow water level in the turtle fish pond, the water temperature changes rapidly. When heating in Qin Ying in early spring and autumn, especially in winter, the water temperature should be measured, and the temperature difference between the water surface and the bottom should not exceed 3 ~ 5℃, otherwise the turtle will easily get sick.
