1. Alfalfa, also known as clover, grass head, alfalfa, is a legume, alfalfa plants. Perennial herb, much branched, 30-100 centimeters high. 2. Native to Turkey, Armenia, Iran, Azerbaijan and other places. Widely cultivated in Eurasia and all over the world. Cultivated or semi-wild throughout China. Born in fields, roadsides, open fields, grasslands, riverbanks and ravines.
