Ingredients: small turmeric (about 200g), Jiuji Gonglao brown sugar
Method:
Step one: small turmeric (about 200g). Organic turmeric is small, yellow in color, and has a pure spicy taste. It is the best ginger.
Step 2: Jiuji Gonglao Brown Sugar (500g). Jiuji Gonglao Brown Sugar is made using pure hand-made methods following thousands of years of ancient methods and is rich in nutrients. It is a must-have for making ginger paste.
Step 3: Cut the ginger. Peel and wash the young turmeric, and use a food processor to mince the ginger.
Step 4: Add sugar. Place Jiujigonglao brown sugar in a pot and heat over low heat until it becomes syrupy and bubbles appear in the pot.
Step 5: Add ginger. Place the chopped ginger into the sugar juice and simmer over low heat, stirring constantly manually to avoid sticking to the pan.
Step 6: Simmer over low heat. After stirring, reduce the heat to a minimum and simmer for more than 6 hours. The purpose is to bring out the full effects of the ingredients.
Step 7: Cool and collect the paste. Place the boiled ginger candy in a cool place to dry thoroughly, and condense into a paste. Put the paste into a jar and seal it for storage. Jiujigong Ginger Paste is finished.
