1.
The firecrackers sound a new year, the spring breeze sends warmth into the tassel. The first time I saw this was when I was a young man, and the second time I saw it was when I was a young man.
(The old year is over with the sound of firecrackers; the warm spring breeze brings in the New Year, and people joyfully drink the newly-brewed Tusu wine. The rising sun shines on thousands of families, who are busy removing the old peach talismans and replacing them with new ones.)
--Wang Anshi, "The New Year's Day"
2.
The sea sun rises at the end of the night, and the river spring enters the old year.
(The night has not yet faded away, the rising sun has already risen on the river, and it is still the old year, but there is already the breath of spring in the south of the river.)
--Wang Wan, "Under the Mountain of Sub-Beigu"

Dai Xing first held a toast to Yao Goblet, and in the mirror, I was amazed at the frost on my temples. I'm so glad that I lost my smile in front of the lamp, but I'm not sure if I'll be able to taste it first.
(The night returned to raise a glass of wine with everyone to celebrate the increase in years of life, but inadvertently saw themselves in the mirror has two sideburns gray. I'm smiling at myself in the mirror, and I'm afraid I won't be the first to taste this Tusu wine.)

When the wind and clouds in the sky celebrated the meeting, the Temple Mol competed to send the grass to know. The neighboring walls are spinning to entertain the guests, and the children are singing poems of joy.
The winds and clouds in the sky are gathering to celebrate, and the court and the people of the country are rejoicing. Neighbors continuously hold feasts to entertain guests, and children recite psalms in unison to celebrate the New Year.)

Last night the bucket returned to the north, and this day the year rises to the east. I'm already strong in my years, but I'm still worried about farming. I'm not sure if I'm going to be able to do that, but I'm going to be able to do it," he said. I'm not sure how much I'm going to be able to do this, but I'm going to be able to do it, and I'm going to have to do it.
(Last night the handle of the Big Dipper turned to the east, and this morning the year began again. I am forty years old, and though I have no official position I still worry about farming. I am near the farmer who plows in a field full of mulberry trees, carrying a hoe and laboring with a shepherd boy. (The farmers speculate on this year's harvest and all say it will be a good year.)
--Meng Haoran, "New Year's Day in a Field House"
6.
A bottle of wine in the year of the year is paid to the court, and the young child holds his clothes to comfort the screen house. I'm glad that my mother is still happy to have meat on her table, and I'm even more happy to dream of fish in the year of my birth.
(With a cup of New Year's wine, I pay homage in the courtyard, and my young son holds my coat and comforts me in my secluded life. Serving my mother, I can still take comfort in having meat for my meals; divining the year is more joyful in dreaming of fish.)
--Qian Qianyi, "The New Year's Day of Dingmao"
7.
The heart of the countryside is cut out for the new year, and I weep alone by the shore of heaven. I'm not sure if I'm going to be able to get a good deal of money for this. I'm not sure if I'm going to be able to get a good look at this, but I'm sure I'm going to be able to get a good look at this. The first thing I'd like to do is to get the best out of you, and then I'd like to get the best out of you," he said.
(The new year is approaching, and the homesickness is even more acute, so I can't help but weep independently in the sky. I'm not sure how much I'm going to be able to do this, but I'm going to be able to do it, and I'm going to be able to do it. The apes and monkeys in the mountains spend the dawn with me, and the willows by the river share my **** sorrow. I am already in the same situation as Chang Taifu, when must I stop living like this?)
--Liu Changqing, "New Year's Day"
8.
The spring has come and gone, and the people of Hunan have not yet returned. I'm not sure if I'm going to be able to make it, but I'm sure I'll be able to make it.
(The day of hibernation came quietly, and I was late in returning; from New Year's Eve of the old year to New Year's Day of the new year, my age increased by one year after this day, and I lamented my naivety and childishness in the past.)

9.
There are no guests to be greeted at home, and I get up early only as usual. I'm not sure if I'm going to be able to do this, but I'm sure I'll be able to do it. The spring breeze is a laughing stock, and the cloudy air is a blessing to the world. I'm not going to be able to do anything about it, but I'm going to be able to do something about it," he said.
(I don't have any guests to pay New Year's greetings here, so I get up in the morning as usual. I'd like to change the couplets as I see fit, but it's the same for the New Year and not the New Year. The year before, the plum blossoms were as fragrant as ever, and did not change because of the lack of peach symbols. The spring breeze blows like the accompanying laughter, auspicious clouds heralding a good harvest. (I drink cypress leaf wine need not be advised, contentment will naturally lead to a long and blessed life.)
--Song Boren, "The New Year's Day"
10.
Wanting to know the end of the year, it is like a snake going to the gully. I've already lost half of my scales, and I don't know how I can cover up my intention to go.
(To know the dying years is like a long snake that swims to the ravine. Half of its long scales have disappeared, so who can cover up its intention to leave?)
