Taizhou, abbreviated as "Tai", ancient name of Hailing, prefecture-level city under the jurisdiction of Jiangsu Province, is the central city of the Yangtze River Delta, the Yangtze River Delta region, an important port city of industry and trade. Located in East China, central Jiangsu, it is an important part of the Yangzi River City Cluster, bordering the Yangtze River in the south, Yancheng in the north, Nantong in the east and Yangzhou in the west. As of 2021, the city has three districts and three county-level cities under its jurisdiction, with a total area of 5,787 square kilometers.
