Gucheng Lake Crab Festival is a major festival for crabs in Gaochun, Nanjing. 1994, Gaochun decided to hold an aquatic product fair every year 10. From 200 1 year, the government decided to change the annual aquatic festival to crab festival, taking crabs as the carrier to fully display Gaochun's water town characteristics and humanistic style. From 200 1 year, Nanjing Gaochun held the first Gucheng Lake Crab Festival.

Apart from crabs and "International Slow City", the first "Happy China" carnival, as one of the series activities of Gaochun Crab Festival, was warmly welcomed by young people, and it was also an eye-catching highlight during the Golden Week. What is even more striking is that during the National Day, Gaochun held the largest-scale activity of "Thousands of people tied crabs". On October 3rd, 20th14th14th, 2014th people tied crabs collectively, which attracted many tourists to Gaochun to stop and watch. The grand occasion of "Thousands of people tied crabs" also set the highest number of people tied crabs, and declared the Guinness World Record.
