Wuxi is named after Xishan. Because lead and tin were abundant during the Zhou and Qin Dynasties, it was named Xishan. Between Huishan and Xishan is a mirror lake, originally called Qinwangwu. Legend has it that Qin Shihuang ordered people to dig it up in order to disconnect the spiritual energy between the two mountains, fearing that heroes would come out of this place.
Huishan is named after Huizhao, a monk from the Western Regions who passed by this mountain. The famous second spring in the world is located on Huishan Mountain. According to legend, after the tea god Lu Yu tasted the water from Huishan Spring, he rated it as the second best spring in the world, and it has become famous ever since. It was written that it was noon on the day of hoeing, and the sweat dropped from the hoeing to the soil. Who would have thought that every meal on the plate is hard work? The famous poet Li Shen commented on this spring: it clears the muscles and bones, rinses the mind, and makes tea from this water, which is full of fragrance. This spring is called the human spirit liquid. The great poet Su Dongpo also once wrote a poem about carrying the small moon in the sky alone to test the second spring in the world. Legend has it that when Ming Taizu Zhu Yuanzhang visited Huishan, a monk from the mountain temple cut bamboos into three pieces and built a tea stove for making tea. After drinking the tea, Zhu Yuanzhang suddenly felt that it was sweet and delicious, with a unique flavor, so he asked: "What kind of tea is this?" How to cook it? What water to use? Xinghai replied: Tea before the rain on Xuelang Mountain is like water from two springs in an ice cave and three bamboo leaves brewing new tea. Zhu Yuanzhang said casually: Old monk, you can become an immortal. Who would have thought that the emperor was so eloquent that Xinghai would indeed become an immortal. To this day, there is a bamboo stove mountain house to the south of Erquan. my country's famous erhu solo "Two Springs Reflect the Moon" originated from this. In the late years of Guangxu's reign in the Qing Dynasty, there was a young Taoist priest named A Bing in Leizun Hall, Wuxi, who loved music since childhood. Under the guidance of Taoist priest Hua Qing, A Bing became more and more skilled in playing. Whenever it was quiet at night, the blind Abing would sit by the Huishan Spring and listen to the tinkling sound of the spring water. Over time, the charm of the spring water flowed out from the strings, and a famous song was born.
