Liang Xin grew up in poverty and lost his father at the age of 7. He studied in elementary school for 5 years, then worked as a handyman and apprentice to earn his own living.

Liang Xin joined the People's Liberation Army (PLA) in 1945, and in 1946, he joined the Chinese ****anist Party.

In 1946, he joined the Chinese Communist Party. He participated in many major battles in the liberation war. Improved his writing skills by teaching himself culture.

In 1953, he was transferred to the Central and South Military Region as a professional writer, and created and published two one-act plays.

In 1956, Liang Xin entered the movie industry as a costume director for the movie Journey to the West.

In 1958, he went to Hainan Island to experience life, and wrote a movie literary script, "The Red Maiden", which was made into a movie directed by Xie Jin in 1960, won the Best Feature Film Award at the 1st Popular Film Hundred Flowers Awards, and won the Bandung Grand Prize at the 3rd Asian-African Film Festival held in Jakarta.

In 1962, the literary script of the movie "The Heart of the Blue Sea" was made into a movie; in the same year, he was transferred to the creative group of the Political Department of Guangzhou Army.

In 1958, he wrote the movie literary script "The Red Detachment of Women".

In 1960, she adapted the movie script "Dancing in the Sea" based on her novel.

In 1962, he was transferred to the Creative Writing Group of the Political Department of Guangzhou Army.

In 1975, he co-adapted the play The Great Wall of the South China Sea into a movie script, and wrote the movie script Special Mission. After the Cultural Revolution, he created movie scripts such as "From Slave to General" (the first and the second episodes), "Fighting Years", and "The Enmity of Hongguzhai".
