"Hawthorn Tree Love" is a romantic film directed by Zhang Yimou and starring Zhou Dongyu and Shawn Dou. It was released in China on September 20 10/6. First of all, the ending of the movie is actually not the common so-called "happy ending". Although the hero and heroine of the story have experienced a lot, they are separated from each other forever.
