3. Light: Sichuan clams need light, but avoid strong light, because high temperature and drought are often accompanied by strong light. In summer, high temperature and strong light make Sichuan clams wither early. Under full sun and cool conditions, the plants grow vigorously, with well-developed bulbs and solid texture. They grow poorly in shaded areas.
