According to legend, a long time ago, in Shi Cun at the foot of Qian Shan, there was a hardworking, capable and kind peasant couple. In a mountain labor, the husband and wife saved an injured lonely goose, gave it something to eat and heal, and the lonely goose gradually recovered. Autumn has come, and the lonely geese have returned to the south with them. In order to repay the farmer and his wife for saving their lives, the lone goose stole a fairy fruit seed from the sky and gave it to the couple. The next spring, the seeds drilled out of the ground, germinated and grew into a small pear tree. The couple carefully watered, fertilized and cared for it. After seeing it, the couple took care of it with great joy. Year after year, the young trees grow up, and in spring, they are full of white five-petal pears, and the intoxicating fragrance permeates the whole forest. Autumn has come, and the pear trees are covered with golden pears, and they are all blushing. Because the entrance is sweet, the fragrance is unique, and it is the seed of the solitary geese from the south, people call it Nanguo pear. Nanguo pear has become a specialty of Anshan, Liaoning Province after a hundred years of reproduction, so it is also called "saddle fruit".
