Lantern Festival, also known as Shangyuan Festival, Tianguan Festival, Yuanxi Festival, the first lunar month or Lantern Festival, is one of the traditional festivals in China, which falls on the 15th day of the first lunar month every year. The first month (read zhēng yuè, January of the lunar calendar) is the first month of the lunar calendar. The ancients called "night" "night", and the fifteenth day of the first month is the first full moon night of the year, so it is called "Lantern Festival".
According to the Taoist saying of "Sanyuan", the fifteenth day of the first month is also called "Shangyuan Festival". Since ancient times, the Lantern Festival custom has been dominated by the warm and festive custom of watching lanterns.
