Evolved from the Onion Duck, the Onion Swimmer is the final form of the evolution chain.

Evolution Chain: The Onion Duck (3 or more hits to the vitals in a matchup to end the matchup) evolves into the Onion Trooper (Caleb).

Despite the fact that Onion Duck's Chinese and Japanese names both mean "green onion", only 5% of Onion Ducks in the game carry onions, and the artwork states that Onion Ducks carry only "plant stems".

One of the staff members in Etherland will mention that the reason for the decline of onion ducks abroad is that there are too few onions for them to eat. Onion Ducks were the first Pokémon described as being able to become food for humans, but the setting has rarely been mentioned since for ethical reasons.

Appearance

The Onion Duck is not as bulky as a normal duck and has a shorter neck, covered in brownish-gray feathers, with a creamy-white forebelly and belly, a triangular jagged pattern separating the belly from the beak and the border, and yellow feet. Three hairs stand on top of the head. The black "V" shaped markings between the forehead and the large onion held on one wing are its distinctive features.

The Onion Duck's personality is often belligerent and strong, and it will often swing the stem it is holding to fight with its opponents. With the fighting attribute, the Ghaleel Onion Duck is even more belligerent. Onion Ducks usually live in places where plants with stems grow. Onion Ducks also fight among themselves over territory. Onion ducks feed on the stems of plants, and onions are used not only as weapons but also for nesting and as food in unusual times.
