African giant snails do great harm to vegetables and other crops, and are the second-class quarantine pests in China.
The adult shell length of African giant snails is generally 7-8 cm, and the largest can reach more than 20 cm. The shell is slightly thick, shiny, oval, nocturnal and omnivorous. Most of them are active in humid environment and like to haunt in the rain and at night.
Usually hide in a cool place. Its origin is in eastern Africa, and now it is widely distributed in hot and humid areas of Asia, Pacific Ocean, Indian Ocean and America.
