The origin of the name of Dongting Biluochun
The name "Biluochun" comes from two statements. One theory is that it is also called "Dongting Biluochun 1" because it is produced in the east Dongting Mountain and west Dongting Mountain of Taihu Lake in Wuxian County, Suzhou City, Jiangsu Province. Another way of saying it is said that during the reign of Kangxi in the Qing Dynasty, the tea picked by the tea-picking girl could not be put into the bamboo basket, so she put the extra tea in her arms. After the tea is hot, it gives off a strange fragrance, and the girls picking tea compete to scare people (Wuzhong dialect), hence the name 2. Later, Emperor Kangxi went to the south of the Yangtze River, and Governor Luo Song took this tea as a gift. Emperor Kangxi greatly appreciated this kind of tea, but thought its name was indecent, so he picked it on Biluofeng, which was green in color and shaped like a snail. It was worth picking in early spring, so it was named Biluochun No.2. The name "Biluochun" comes from two statements. Biluochun Dongting Lake is named "Biluochun" because it is located in the surrounding area of Dongting Lake in Hunan Province, China, and its tea leaves are turquoise and spiral. In addition, the water around Dongting Lake is needed in the production of Biluochun, which is one of the sources of its name.
