Extended data
Syrup is a viscous solution containing high concentration of sugar, which is made by boiling or other techniques. The raw materials for making syrup can be sugar water, sugarcane juice, fruit juice or other plant juice. Fruit syrup made at home is usually mashed fruit, boiled in water, filtered pulp, added with sugar, then boiled until the solution is viscous, cooled and stored in a bottle.
