Spicy rice cake is a very common snack in Korea. Walking on the street, you can see men, women, old and young eating red rice cakes in front of vendors. The ingredients for the spicy fried rice cake sold by the hawker are very simple, only rice cakes and sweet and spicy, I know how to do it myself, and add some onions and cabbage. This spicy fried rice cake tastes more balanced!
Ingredients: rice cake, sweet and spicy (if you don’t have it, it’s okay), onions, carrots, cabbage, green onions, Korean chili sauce.
Shred sweet potatoes, potatoes, carrots, and cabbage, and cut green onions into inch-long pieces.
If you can’t buy long rice cakes, you can use this instead.
Generally fried rice cakes are not fried in oil but boiled in water. I changed it to sauteing onions and carrots in oil first.
Saute onions and carrots until fragrant (don’t fry them until they are cooked), then pour in an appropriate amount of water, my amount of water is one cup (the amount of rice cake is about 20 small strips per person)
Put Tianbu Spicy and cabbage into the pot together.
Cook until the water boils and add an appropriate amount of Korean chili sauce. My Korean chili sauce is sweet, so there is no need to add sugar. If you use the original Korean chili sauce, just Need to add sugar!
Because spicy fried rice cake needs to be sweet and spicy to taste delicious!
Continue to cook until boiling.
Then add the rice cake.
Cook until the soup thickens.
Finally, add the green onions and stir-fry evenly.
Korean spicy fried rice cake is ready!
Korean chili sauce is divided into original flavor and sweet flavor. If you can’t read Korean when purchasing, you can use the number to distinguish it. Have you ever seen a green circular pattern in the upper right corner of the chili sauce? The circular pattern represents sweet chili sauce, and Korean chili sauce is differentiated in the same way regardless of the brand.
