3. Carry the supplies to the patient's bedside, check the bed number, name, assist the patient to take the appropriate position, pad rubber sheet and the middle sheet, enema bag hanging in the infusion frame, the liquid surface from the anus 40 ~ 60 cm. Wearing gloves, lubrication and connection of the anal tube, exhaust, clamping tube, the operator's left hand to separate the patient's two buttocks, reveal the anus, the right hand to take the anal tube from the anterior end of 2 ~ 3 cm, gently inserted into the 7 ~ 10 cm, and then The left hand is fixed, and the right hand loosens the vascular clamp so that the enema liquid flows in slowly. When the enema is finished, the right hand folds back the end of the anal tube, and the left hand wraps paper around the anal tube at the anus, pulls out the tube, and wipes the anus with the paper. Separate the anal tube, take off the glove and place it on the curved disk under the cart. Remove enema bag and place under treatment cart. Inform patient of retention time. Assist with defecation, remove rubber sheet, center sheet, and straighten sheets.

4. Assist the patient to put on pants and assume a comfortable lying position.

5. Dispose of used items as prescribed, sort garbage, wash hands, and record.
