Hairtail and saury are both common fish in China. Because they look a bit like each other, such as body shape, color, body shape and so on, they are easily confused by people. When spawning, it migrates to shallow waters.

Hairtail swimming ability is poor, floating on the surface of seawater during the day and descending to the bottom of the sea at night. At rest, the head is up and the body is vertical, only by waving the dorsal fin and pectoral fin, and the eyes are watching the movement on the head. If the prey is found, the dorsal fin vibrates rapidly, the body bends and pounces on the food. Hairtail has the characteristics of queuing in groups. Every spring, when the water temperature rises, hairtail swims to the shore in groups, and from south to north, which is the fishing season. At the winter solstice, the water temperature drops, and hairtail swims deep into the water to avoid the cold.
