Beef and shrimp balls How to make seaweed soup
Chop beef into meat sauce. Peel the shrimps from their shells (you don’t need to throw away the shells, save them for making soup later), and grind the shrimp meat into a sauce. Finely chop the ginger (you can leave it out if you don’t like it).
Add appropriate amount of salt and pepper to beef sauce, shrimp paste, and ginger, add sesame oil, beat in egg white, add a small amount of starch, mix evenly with your hands, and let stand for about 20 minutes.
Fill the soup pot with three-fifths of the water, add the shrimp shells, and turn on high heat. After about 2 minutes, remove the shrimp shells and throw them away.
Use your hands or a spoon to twist the previously mixed meat sauce into balls and throw them into the pot of boiling water one by one.
After all the meatballs are dropped, add seaweed, salt and pepper. After 2 minutes, turn off the heat.
