Campsis grandiflora is a climbing vine of Osmundaceae, which is distributed in the central part of China. It likes warm and humid sunny environment and is slightly shade-tolerant.
It takes root by air to climb other things to grow upwards, with pinnate compound leaves, oval leaflets, serrated edges, bright red flowers, funnel-shaped corollas and capsules. It likes well-drained soil, is more resistant to water and humidity, and has certain saline-alkali tolerance.

The name of Camptotheca grandiflora first appeared in Tang Materia Medica, which said under the heading of "Osmunda japonica": "This is Camptotheca grandiflora, which is also used for stems and leaves.
