Water curtain cave Grottoes is located at the foot of Lianhua Mountain, where the cliffs are precipitous and very strange. It was dug in a wide and steep natural cave on the mountainside. The cave is 50 meters wide and 30 meters high. There are pavilions and pavilions around the cave, such as the Bodhisattva Hall, the Wugong Building and the Four Holy Palaces.
This cave has been recorded in the epitaph written by Zhang Chaorui, a contemporary scholar in Wu Cheng'en, and was written as the hometown of the Monkey King in The Journey to the West. On the west side outside the cave, there is still an original "Kaishan Stone House" inscribed by Daoguang in Qing Dynasty for Tao Shu, Governor of Liangjiang River.
Structure:
The water curtain is on both sides of a bridge in the center of the big fake cave, with skylights. The sun shines on the left and right water curtains, and tourists cross the dark bridge. The rumble of water enhanced the mystery of the cave. The shape of the cave is simple and low, but the waterfall can't see the top because of the skylight, which produces the contrast of height and light and shade at the beginning.
After water curtain cave, you enter the Dragon Palace, which is a circular building with a suspended ceiling and a transparent glass roof. The ground around the building is painted with colorful dragon ornaments. In the central pool of the circular building, there is a rockery fountain. the Monkey King's red golden cudgel is about 2 meters long and placed horizontally on the stone, which makes people have the mythical association that Sun asked the old dragon king for weapons.
