1, Shaxian bibimbap
Bibimbap, as the signature dish of Shaxian snacks, is of course the first to be introduced. The soul of Shaxian bibimbap is naturally its peanut sauce. Outside of the mixed noodles, generally is the ingredient factory processed finished product with sesame oil melted. But there are a few local stores in Shaxian that make their own peanut sauce by frying the peanuts and grinding them into peanut butter sauce, which is much more flavorful and rich.
2, Shaxian flat meat
As a good partner for noodles, flat meat is of course an essential snack in Shaxian. The skin of Shaxian flat meat is thin and smooth, and the meat is filled with tight lean meat from the hind leg of the pig, which is pounded thousands of times to make it taste so crispy. The soup is made from pork bones and is very flavorful. The noodles and flat pork are collectively known as BB set, which has always been the signature dish of Shaxian snacks, and you must have the authentic one when you are in Shaxian.
3, tofu balls
Tofu balls should not be common outside, but this is what Shaxian people love. The tofu balls are tasty and have a cottony texture with the fresh sour flavor of the tofu itself. But also because of this flavor, so many people are not used to eating. When you're local to Shaxian, you might want to try them.
4, Shaxian duck
Shaxian duck originated from Nanping's Jianou duck, after Shaxian local improvement, more flavorful. The plate duck is made from locally raised half-fan ducks, with firm meat, fat but not greasy, and yellowish color. When you eat it, you don't need to add other seasonings, just steam it over boiling water for ten minutes and then you can eat it, the flavor is salty and mild, and the nutrition is very rich.
5, Shaxian Shao Mai
Shaxian Shao Mai originated in Taiyuan, Shanxi Province, is a kind of hot noodle for the skin, wrapped in a variety of fillings, and then on the cage steamed snacks. Unlike other places, the filling of Shaxian Shao Mai is made of vermicelli, diced meat, bamboo shoots and mushrooms. When you eat it and dip it in Shaxian's unique black bean oil, it is fresh, flavorful, smooth and very tasty.
