Veined red conch: shell slightly near pear-shaped, the quality of firm and thick, the general shell height 50-123cm, 45-95mm wide, the large ones can be up to 150mm high, 120mm wide, the conch layer of about 6 layers, the width of each layer increases rapidly, the suture line is shallow. The top of the shell is pointed and thin, smooth. The spiral part is low. The middle and upper part of the body spiral layer is extremely enlarged, and the base is gradually narrowed. Shell surface rough, with well-arranged spiral ribs and fine growth lines. Shoulder angle nodules protruding, nodules triangular, especially prominent, sometimes spiny on the body-spiral layer. There are also 3-4 thick ribs with nodal projections below the shoulder angle. The shell surface is yellowish brown with tan spots. The mouth of the shell is large, long ovate, the inner surface apricot-red, with porcelain light. The anterior sulcus is short and wide, the outer lip is thick, and the margin has notches corresponding to the conchoidal ribs. Inner lip posteriorly thin, posterior groove inconspicuous, adhering to the body snail layer, anteriorly thickened, outwardly extended, forming a pseudo-umbilicus with the anterior part of the body snail layer of the snail rib***. Operculum angular, oval, firm and thick, brownish-red, nucleus situated against the margin of the outer lip. The body is soft, with a mouth on the anterior ventral surface of the head, and one pair of antennae on the head, each with a small black eye. Feet broad, grayish-black.
