1. Morphological characteristics

Zhongtao No. 9 is a blood peach variety without sour taste. It takes a long time to bear fruit and is suitable for planting in the north and south. The flesh is white, light green-white, yellow, orange or red, juicy and fragrant, sweet or sour. 2. Variety Characteristics

The fruit development period of Zhongtao No. 9 is about 63 days. It usually matures in mid-to-late May and falls leaves from late October to early November. The tree is strong and half-open. The fruit of Zhongtao No. 9 is large, with an average fruit weight of 170 to 210 grams, and the maximum weight can be more than 300 grams. The fruit is nearly round, and when mature, the surface of the fruit will turn rose red over 80%, making it more beautiful. The flesh is white, crisp and hard when matured 8 to 9, slightly soft after ripening, the flesh is fine and crisp, the flavor is sweet and slightly fragrant, soft and juicy when ripe, the peel is medium thick and difficult to peel off, and the soluble solid content is 10 to 12.

IV. Cultivation technology

In the year after Zhongtao No. 9 peach seedlings are planted, when the new shoots grow to more than 5 cm, apply quick-acting nitrogen fertilizer. In the future, it can be applied every other year depending on the growth situation. Water 2 to 3 times continuously for 7 to 10 days. Before germination of fruit-bearing trees, in the late hard-core stage, and in the early stage of fruit enlargement, top dressing should be carried out according to tree vigor, fruiting status, climatic conditions, etc. Among them, the late hard-core stage is the most important and must be carried out. 5. Time to market

The fruit growth period of Zhongtao No. 9 is about 65 days, maturing 5 to 7 days earlier than Chunmei, and more than 10 days earlier than Zhongtao No. 9. The Hunan-Hubei border areas will mature in mid-to-late May, and the central and southern Hunan Province, Jiangxi Province, and Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region will mature in mid-to-early May, basically at the same time as the greenhouse peaches in the north.
