Source of traditional Chinese medicine: This product was first recorded in "Treatise on the Properties of Medicine". It is the root tuber of the perennial herbaceous plant Curcuma weuyujin Y. H. Chen et C. Ling, Curcuma longa L., Curcuma kwangsiensis S.g. Lee et C. F. Liang or Curcuma phaeocaulis Val. Mainly produced in Zhejiang Province, Sichuan Province and other places.

Harvesting and processing: Excavate after the stems and leaves have withered in winter, pick the roots, remove the fine roots, steam or boil them until they are transparent and dry. Slice or break, use raw, or stir-fry with alum water.

Specifications of traditional Chinese medicine:

The products include yellow turmeric (wen yujin), black yujin (warm yujin), white yujin (white silk turmeric), green turmeric (green silk turmeric) , the difference between Curcuma and Curcuma. The best ones are large in size, solid in quality, thin in skin and yellow in cross-section. Generally, yellow turmeric is of high quality.
