How to grow toon in greenhouse, how to grow toon buds in greenhouse

The use of winter-heated greenhouses or Shouguang soil greenhouses to cultivate Chinese toon is a kind of cultivation that involves raising seedlings in the open field in spring and summer, leaving the nursery after autumn, and conducting dense planting in the greenhouse in winter. Way.

Toona sinensis is not frost-resistant. After being frozen, the top buds will wither and the cortex will be damaged, resulting in a significant reduction in yield. Therefore, it should be planted before severe frost in late October to early November. After the seedlings emerge from the nursery, they must be planted, irrigated, covered, and protected from freezing and drying out. It requires a complete root system and a root length of more than 20 cm. After 10-15 days of false planting, the leaves can be promoted to nutrient return and leaf fall, and the body sleep period can be passed. The fence can be planted in mid-November. The planting density is 100-150 current-year seedlings and 80-120 multi-year seedlings per square meter. After planting, water well and cultivate the soil to the original buried soil line.

It is necessary to have reasonable temperature and humidity management. The shed temperature should be controlled at 15-25°C during the day and 10-25°C at night. If the temperature is lower than 10°C for a long time, a fire should be lit for heating. Under high temperature conditions, toona buds grow quickly, but they age easily, lose color, and are of poor quality. To ensure adequate water supply to toona, maintain high soil moisture and air temperature. The root system of the seedlings is damaged when they come out of the nursery, and their water absorption capacity is poor. After planting, they need to be poured with heavy water. Later, they should be poured with small amounts of water at any time depending on the soil type and dry and wet conditions. The air humidity should be kept above 85. In sunny and warm weather, you can use a sprayer to spray water on the stems and the air.

20-30 days after planting, toon buds can grow to about 20 cm. They must be picked at the right time. If the buds are too short, the yield will be low, and if they are too long, the quality will be poor. Picking should be done in the morning when the shed is opened. The toona is at its most tender at this time. If the toona buds need to grow quickly, you can spray gibberellin. Spraying preservatives before harvesting can effectively extend the storage and transportation period of toona buds.

After picking the toona buds, bundle them into small bundles of 100-200 grams, pack them in small plastic bags, and seal them to prevent moisture loss. If you are not in a hurry to put it on the market, you can place it flat in a cool cellar or indoors, and avoid stacking it in a centralized manner. Keep it indoors at 0-10℃ and can be stored for 10-20 days.
